Glen Lee, the varsity head coach for the girls basketball team, resigned on Friday May 2, after a reign of 12 years. Lee has been a varsity head coach for over 20 years and coached the Central Catholic Rams before leading the Lions.. While at West Linn, Lee took a struggling program and led them to the Rose Garden last year. He has taken them to the top 16 in the State Championship tournament for the previous seven years until they finally made it to the Rose Garden.
Administration has posted the head coach position and hopes to have a new coach in place before school is out for the summer. Athletic director Rob Holstrom was positive about the process and optimistic about the future.
“We’re going to put a committee together, look at candidates and hopefully find our new coach soon,” Holstrom said.
