Soft ginger cookies are a scrumptious treat!

These cookies are a easy treat to bake

Everyone is always looking for a sweet treat to satisfy their sugar craving and these ginger cookies are sure to delight. Paired with a glass of milk, these cookies are the perfect snack for anytime of the day.

For two dozen cookies, heat your oven to 350 degrees. Sift the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt into a large bowl. Set the bowl aside while you cream together the sugar and the margarine in a large bowl. Next, beat in the egg and stir in the molasses and water. Gradually stir in the sifted mixture with the wet mixture. Shape the dough into a small ball and roll them into  2 tablespoons of sugar.

Place the cookies a few inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and slightly flatten the ball of dough. Bake the cookies for eight to ten minutes and then allow to cool on a wire rack.



2 ¼ cups of flour

2 teaspoons of ground ginger

1 teaspoon of baking soda

¾ teaspoon of ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon of ground cloves

¼ teaspoon of salt

¾ cup of softened margarine

1 cup of white sugar

1 egg

1 tablespoon of water

¼ cup of molasses

2 tablespoons of sugar
