The host Lions (16-4, 6-0 Three Rivers League), despite a slow start, defeated the visiting Lakeridge Pacers (7-12, 1-5). Anthony Mathis, freshman, started the game 3 for 3 from three-point range and never looked back, tying for the team high in points with 15. Mitchell Cokley, senior, was the other Lion to score 15 points. Hayden Coppedge, sophomore, contributed 14 points.
Madison Pihl, Lakeridge forward, had a game-high 17 points to lead the Pacers.
Before the game began, Lou Bailey, principal, announced a moment of silence for Sierra Grill, freshman, who passed away last Wednesday.
