After amassing a 4-2-3 record and placing second in the Three Rivers League, the West Linn Varsity Lions Girls’ Soccer Team has made it to playoffs. Avoiding a play-in game, the Lions have made it to the first round of the state playoffs. They will play Saturday Nov. 2 with time and  location to be announced.

“We are pushing the girls through this week, still trying to get better and tighten up all the little things to get a good effort and performance on Saturday,” Kelli Cronkrite, head coach, said.  “Overall the team is really proud of their regular season and are ready for playoffs.”

“I think our season went pretty well,”Cronkrite said. “ As a coaching staff we have always had high expectations for our girls, and they have had high expectations for themselves as well. We have had a few bumps in the road, but continuously gotten better, learned from our mistakes, and I am happy with where we are at as a team right now,” Cronkrite said. “We look for the girls to bring their best effort every day and as long as we can do that we will get better every day together.”
