Ranked 19th in the country, the Oregon Ducks are looking forward to a strong season with strong chances of making the NCAA Tournament in March. The Oregon State Beavers are in a rebulilding season, with head coach Craig Robinson entering his sixth and possibly final season.

The Ducks scored  an impressive win over Georgetown in Seoul, South Korea at a military base, celebrating Veterans Day. They beat Georgetown 82-75 in a game at which  the whole audience was full of active military personel. Oregon won again last Wednesday Nov. 13 against Western Carolina, 107-83. Their non-conference schedule consists of a tough game on the road against Ole Miss, Ilinois, and BYU at home. The Ducks won against Utah Valley,69-54, on Tuesday Nov. 19.

The Beavers suffered an embarrassing season opener loss at home to Coppin State. Even though Roberto Nelson, senior, had a career high of 36 points, the Beavers still could not pull off a win. They won against Portland at home on Wednesday, 79-73,and beat to Maryland on Sunday in their first road game of the season, 90-83.

Coming off a disappointing season last year, Oregon State might have a talented enough squad to make a run for its first NCAA tournament bid since 1990, with four returning starters.

Oregon and Oregon State should have pretty good seasons ahead of them with good non-conference schedules heading into Pac-12 play.
