West Linn Girls Basketball rolls past Wilson, 71-24

After last week’s tragic car crash, senior night for the West Linn Girls Basketball team (16-8, 13-3 Three Rivers League) was moved to last night’s playoff game when the Lions took on the Trojans from Wilson (13-12, 11-5 Portland Interscholastic League). It was a special night. In honor of Cooper Hill, junior, who was killed last week in a car accident, the team wore orange socks; Hill’s favorite color.

West Linn came to play and started the game hot as they nearly shut out Wilson in the first quarter.Guard Taylor Enders netted 20 points and had four steals, leading both teams in scoring. Enders was not the only Lion who was on fire; Kennedy Fulcher, sophomore,  posted a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

West Linn’s next game will be against the Roseburg Indians (18-7, 10-4 Southwest Conference) on Friday at 7 p.m.
