During a jamboree against Wilson, Ryan Klose, senior dodges against a defender. Klose led all players with 6 goals scored for the Lions against Claremont. The Lions look to increase their winning streak with a victory over Clackamas on Wednesday night.

Over the weekend, the West Linn Lions (1-2) hosted a preseason exhibition matchup against the Claremont Spartans (Claremont, British Columbia). With Claremont being a top 5 team in all of Canada, many people thought that this would be a game that came down to the wire. Unfortunately for the Spartans, it wasn’t. Spearheaded by senior Ryan Klose, West Linn looked seemingly unstoppable on both sides of the field. This complete dominance helped lead them to a 20-9 victory on Sunday night.

“We took a few losses during spring break, but it felt good to get back out there and compete at a high level,” Grant Walton, junior said. After a disappointing loss to Beaverton the following day, and a victory against Tualatin on Friday night, the Lions look to increase their winning streak to two games with a victory against Clackamas on Wednesday night.
