Throwing on the wheel, Henry Dillingham practices his patience while learning how to throw. Henry is a teacher aid in fourth period AP 3D-Design. After helping out around the classroom, he decided to give the wheel a try. With patience, practice and a little assistance, Henry was able to successfully sculpt his first bowl. “It’s hard to pick up on,” Henry said. “Once Justin [Rademacher] helped me center it, I started to really enjoy it.”

 At the main table, student leaders share this dessert, allowing students to experience a small part of this vast culture. This photo captures one of the very first sales of the day at the Lunar New Year Event that took place in the library and was hosted by Model UN and the Affinity Club. At the event they had chosen to share a Singaporean dessert and this was one of the many students who had purchased one. Gretchen Bertram, teacher, helped organize the event. “One of the countries is Singapore,” Bertram said. “They wanted to highlight that and so the students found a bakery in Portland that made a special Singaporean desserts.”

During halftime of the football game, Sky Gomes, senior and ASB president, crowns Ajani White, senior, for Homecoming royalty. Out of six seniors, three were elected to be royal. Among elected were White, Angie Nelson, and Drew Ness. “I was in shock,” White said. “I really did not expect it. I feel great. I feel like its a great group and I feel honored to be a part of it.”
