About the Contributor
Anton Anikin, Reporter
Anyone who talks to 14-year-old Anton Anikin, freshman, is an easygoing, carefree person who takes life as it comes. He doesn’t have any plans for his future, but says “I’ll find out when I get there.” In his free time, he “does what he feels like doing.” Anton is on the varsity swim team, and though he claims he can’t swim, his friends say otherwise. “Anton doesn’t try at practices, but he tries at meets,” a fellow team-mate said. His hero is Michael Phelps. Also musically inclined, Anikin plays the violin in the orchestra. Outside of school, the swim team, and orchestra, Anikin admits to a Star Wars fetish, and he likes to read Russian poetry, as he is fluent in the language. His favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla, but he prefers frozen yogurt over ice cream. Anikin is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy, and he is interested in the Journalism class for the credits.
