No light from
The moon
In sight
Within the
Midnight ocean
That is the sky
A sea of darkness
Yet with waves of
Orange and blue
As twilight
Begins.
Its the new moon-
A midnight magic
That creates the
Midnight ocean
of our sky-
Yet,
Even though the moon
Has melted into the
Night sky-
I still see its
Reflection,
An outline,
Mighty and
Strong.
A sense that
Even in darkness
The sky still
Glows with color-
That is still enough
To illuminate
The quiet,
Desert, landscape.
