2020-2021 Athletics Update

The varsity baseball players geared up to face Lakeridge High School on Monday evening, April 17, at home. This is the fourteenth game of their season. West Linn ended the game with a win (7-3) defeating Lakeridge. In between plays, many of the players basked in the sunlight and cooled off.

Chasing normalcy

Angelic Tosado, senior, models some of the necklaces she has made. Tosado created her jewelry business, Newmoon Jewelry, shortly after Oregons shelter-in-place order was first issued.

Creativity in a crisis

Standing in front of at least 100 people, Susie Walters, senior, laughs as she starts her speech about inclusion to the present student body. Co-president of Gender Sexuality Alliance, Walters organized the walkout on Nov. 8 to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community at the school. “The purpose of this demonstration is to allow students to show solidarity with their LGBTQ+ peers and to peacefully address the culture of intolerance on the WLHS campus,” a press release published by GSA stated. Walters soon shared her own story and the message for the demonstration. “I want you to treat this day, and the rest of your life, like a pride celebration,” Walters said.
