Isabel Jolley
When Isabel Jolley, senior, forecasted for yearbook her junior year she had no idea what to expect. Unsure, she took the class anyway and fell in love with it instantly. With a passion for journalism, Jolley, will be attending the University of Oregon next year and hopes to continue her career eventually working for a magazine or newspaper.

“I love to talk to everyone, making friends and talking to people in the hallway is the best,” Jolley said.

Jolley attended a journalism conference in San Diego, Calif. last year which showed her journalism is what she wants to do as a career. The conference was fast-paced and featured a lot of guest speakers, who talked about how to write for different subjects.

“I was so surprised when I was told I won an award for my sports writing, I was so stressed but it all worked out so well,” Jolley said.

Expressing who she is through her clothing and influencing people through her writing are her favorite things to do. She wants to continue to impact people through journalism and fashion.
When Jolley isn’t staying long nights at the school to finish up articles for Amplifier or spreads for yearbook, she is spending time with her friends. Her favorite thing about being part of both yearbook and the Amplifier staff is how many people she meets and the friendships she has made.
