Kylie Zeman
For Kylie Zeman, sophomore, Broadcast journalism is what has sparked her love for being able to tell people's stories. Zeman is now taking Journalism I and Broadcast Journalism III.

“I’ve always been interested in being in front of the camera” Zeman explains. “By taking broadcast, I learned that I actually really enjoy all aspects of journalism: writing, interviewing, being in front of the camera and editing. I don't know, I just think it’s really fun and something I am very interested in.”

Besides journalism, something unique about Zeman is that she is a competitive jump roper. She goes to competitions and is nationally ranked, and is looking to go to the world's competition next summer.

“Something I love about journalism is that you can find people with unique stories and you get to share them. Kinda like how I jump rope, I like finding people who do unique things that you wouldn't think of at first, and being able to share their story.” Zeman said.

Sports are Zeman's favorite, along with politics. “When I grow up I want to be a sports announcer or interviewer, specifically for golf,” Zeman said. “I love sports and I want to be involved in them somehow throughout my whole life.”

During journalism, Zeman hopes to inform students that there are more sports than just football or baseball, and that everyone has a unique story that deserves to be shared.
