Sydney McCrone
With a passion for writing, Sydney McCrone, freshman, has been writing for as long as she can remember.

“Writing has always been a great way to escape the stress of schoolwork and sports that continue to pile on each day. Sitting down to express my feelings with a notebook and pencil has always been a way to break off and put down my phone,” McCrone said. “Cheer can take up a lot of time when school starts.”

McCrone has joined the West Linn Cheer team and is a part of the JV squad. She’s been dancing for ten years and decided to take a new step into something a little different while continuing her love of dance in a new athletic activity.

“I’ve been dancing before I can even remember, traveling with my team to compete and perform in magical places, but I was ready to try something new,” McCrone said.

While McCrone loves both writing and cheer, her dreams take a different path.

“I would love to go to college and eventually medical school to study and become an Emergency Room Physician. I’ve always had an interest in the medical field and I love helping people get better and be the best they can be,” McCrone said. “I would love to go to Harvard medical school and get the best degree possible.”
