Competing in an international film festival as a junior in high school definitely is not common among the general population of WLHS, but for Ben Kohler, Senior, the film he submitted was just a drop in a bucket.
“I love film, watching and creating it.” Kohler said “The film that was a finalist for the festival was fun to make, but I feel like it's just the beginning.”
Kohler plans to major in English next year at a university somewhere on the East Coast. He hopes it will help him become better at script writing and making movies.
“At the end of the day, making movies is what I love to do,” Kohler said “but studying English will prevent me from being stuck into a single career path.”
Kohler hopes to contribute to the staff of WLHSnow this year with both film pieces and writing pieces alike.
Ben Kohler is Class Videographer on the WLHSnow staff. Kohler plans to create journalistic and documentary videos in order to relay news to students and staff. He makes piano music in his free time.
