When she isn’t excelling at school and maintaining a 4.125 grade point average, Eleanor Williams, freshman is playing lacrosse for the West Linn Lions Girls Lacrosse team.

“I dont know what I want to do, as long as it isn't art,” she said, explaining that she loves not only science and English, but every subject with the exception of art. One of Williams favorite things to do is read, which might she said explain why her favorite subject is English.

“I like English because the books we read are very well written and interesting,” she said. One of William’s other passions is lacrosse. She is playing JV as a freshman and hopes to someday play college lacrosse saying that would be the “best case scenario.” Williams' 13 year old sister, Frances, also plays lacrosse.

Williams first found her interest in journalism when a couple of West Linn High School Amplifier students came and presented at Rosemont Ridge Middle School. After being talked to and persuaded by her 8th grade english teacher, Williams decided that a spot on the school newspaper would be both challenging and exciting. This is the beginning of the exciting journey of the rest of her life, and she’s never been more excited to be apart of the newspaper and the high school.

The freedom of high-school has been exciting for her. “I can do whatever I want…most of the time,” she said. “West Linn is a very tight knit community, everyone is family or friends with each other.”

Regardless of what Williams ends up doing after high school, she will be traveling, and excelling at whatever she does.
