Charlie first got interested in journalism when he began listening to podcasts a few years ago. In particular, he became interested in NPR’s style of reporting, such as on “Fresh Air,” and humor podcasts such as “Comedy Bang Bang.”Charlie loves all kinds of comedy, from stand up to sketches. Inspired by these podcasts, Charlie joined Amplifier to improve his own writing skills. Now, he is a co-editor of the Current Events section of the Amplifier. He enjoys writing about all kinds of thing, topics that haven’t been looked at before. After high school, he wants to go to UC Berkeley and get a master’s degree in Journalism. Ultimately, he wants to write for print or broadcasting, but he’d prefer not to be on television. When not writing for the Amplifier or listening to podcasts, Charlie likes to ride his bike and listen to My Morning Jacket. Outside of Amplifier, his favorite class is history.
