“I’ve always worked really hard on the things I’m passionate about,” Erdahl said. “Journalism is going to be a challenge for me because I don’t have as much writing experience as I would like, but I feel ready for it.”
When she’s not playing softball or reading, she enjoys hanging out with friends and playing with her Australian Shepherd, Mel. With having an older brother, Aidan Erdahl, junior, in broadcast journalism, she looks forward to learning about being a journalist and improving her writing.
“I’ve always enjoyed reading and writing before, so journalism felt like the right fit for me,” Erdahl said.
Though she wasn’t initially interested in the class, a friend of her’s convinced her to take it, and the class ended up aligning with her schedule, interests, and aspirations for the future. Along with her interest in journalism, she is also drawn to political writing and environmental law, and it's always been a goal of hers to learn about what's happening in the world and how she could help, and she hopes to use journalism as a method to do so.
