“Javelin has been eye opening into the world of track for me,” Logan Winder, sophomore, said.

Winder’s life for a long time had been surrounded by sports that had a focus on throwing, like baseball, and javelin was the next step on that path.

When not throwing Javelin in the spring, Winder says he enjoys biking and hanging out with his friends. Through these friends, he heard about the Journalism class.

“Journalism always felt like something that was slightly out of reach for me,” Winder said. That was until late Freshman year, when he received an invitation to be a part of the WLHSnow team. “It was a no-brainer for me, of course I was gonna join.” Now, in his sophomore year, Winder hopes to have an impact in the school.

“I finally have an opportunity to make my voice heard,” Winder said. “I appreciate the fact that all people, from all walks of life can join into Journalism and give their own two cents.”

Winder hopes that what he writes will have an impact on at least one person.

“I'm excited to push my writing abilities to the limits, and challenge myself to create a good story,” Winder said. “I’m ready to see what Journalism will bring my way.”
