Becoming a group. Chamber Choir, composed of auditioned sopranos and altos performs [song] during the concert. Emerson Parker, senior, is a teacher aide for the choir and helped them prepare. “We've done a lot of group bonding activities. That's really important when you're singing in such big groups,” Parker said. “We do a lot of extra rehearsals, like during lunch, a lot of sectionals, which is just when all the altos are gonna get together and sing their one part, and all the sopranos are gonna get together and so on and so forth.”

Tuning in: choir program holds their first concert of the school year
All together. To finish off the concert, all choirs joined on stage to perform “Water Fountain,” a song inspired by the California drought in 2013. Several students were seated on the edge of the stage clapping and playing percussion instruments to add to the sound. The song involved shouting, singing, and clapping.
