French Club

On the first Wednesday of every month in room B204, the French Club meets to discuss Francophone culture. This includes the history, architecture, art, and food of France. The club is run by student leader Emma Ladha, junior. They typically start their discussions with monthly lesson plans and then they do activities, play games, and practice to test their knowledge.

“And it’ll be like a quick little lesson that we usually just like play a game like on Kahoot or Quizlet or like, Jeopardy, and then it’s just a really chill club. Like anyone can come even if you don’t speak French,” Ladha said.

Their goal is to provide a safe learning environment for French speakers of all levels to improve their French skills, learn more about the culture, and overall create a more diverse environment. The French Club hopes to go on trips in the future as well.

“Yeah, I mean, I think it would be really fun if we could do like a fundraising thing to have like a trip to France. That would be really fun to be in as a club,” Ladha said.
