The year in music: A look at some Grammy nominated albums of 2022

After last year’s modified award show hosted at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Grammys are making a return in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Conference Marquee Ballroom with the promise of the same extravagance and publicity as ever. Along with a slew of high-profile guests and nominees in attendance, the show will also feature performances from Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo, and several others.

With the 2022 Grammys fast approaching, we decided to take a look at some of the albums nominated across the following categories: Album of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year, and Best Alternative Album.

Jubilee – Japanese Breakfast (Best Alternative Music Album)
Daddy’s Home – St. Vincent (Best Alternative Music Album)
Evermore – Taylor Swift (Album of the Year)
Sour – Olivia Rodrigo (Album of the Year)
An Evening With Silk Sonic – Silk Sonic (Record of the Year)
Planet Her – Doja Cat (Album of the Year)
Call Me If You Get Lost – Tyler, The Creator (Best Rap Album)
Happier Than Ever – Billie Eilish (Album of the Year)
Positions – Ariana Grande (Best Pop Vocal Album)
If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power – Halsey (Best Alternative Music Album)
