Jenna Wheeler

Wheeler has been a four year varsity player for the softball team playing in center field. Last spring, she was awarded first team TRL all-league and third team for all-state. She has since committed to Pacific University.

“I really like the community both inside and out of softball and the coaches were amazing when I visited,” Wheeler said.

During her years as a high school student, Wheeler has spent time working with younger athletes both on and off the field.

“I [strive] to be an example for the younger grades and generations,” Wheeler said.

The students including Rebecca Gomez, Chloe Dehlin, and Courtney Williams, seniors, and head coach Gina Garvey-Metzler have always been supportive of Wheeler.

“West Linn felt like family because of the students and coaches just being very supportive and encouraging,” Wheeler said.

Wheeler has many positive takeaways from her time playing softball for West Linn that will translate well to her time in college.

“Have fun while bettering myself as a player and person while staying positive,” Wheeler said.
