Baron Naone

For last year’s playoffs, outfielder Baron Naone, sophomore, had the chance to practice with the title winning team. Kace Naone, class of 2022 alum, was on last year’s team. Kace played shortstop for the team and started in the state final. Naone found the opportunity to play with Kace, a special moment for them as brothers.

“I’ve always wanted to play with them and finally got to,” Naone said. “It was really cool that I got to experience the end of the season with my brother.”

Now, Naone is among the teams starting hitters and outfielders and going forward he has one big personal goal he hopes to achieve during his time as a lion.

“I want to carry my team to another state title just like my brother did,” Naone said.

As a multi-position player, Naone brings a lot to the table with his hitting abilities and fielding skills.

“I think I can hit really well,” Naone said. “And I’m pretty fast.”

Naone chose a walk-up song that will get him amped up and ready to hit.

“It’s going to be ‘Big Papa’ by Biggie Smalls,” Naone said. “It’s just a fun song that gets me hyped up and excited to play.”

In the last few weeks, Naone received his first Division One offer from San Diego State University to further his athletic and academic career. Since he’s a sophomore, Baron has a few years to allow the offers to keep rolling in and make a decision.
