Boys Cross Country Team advances to State

Boys team secures second place at Districts

The West Linn Varsity Cross Country team scored 50 points Oct. 23rd at the Three Rivers League District meet in Clackamas Community College. Coming in second close behind Grant which scored 44 points.

Roman Ollar and Grayson Ollar, sophomores, closed down first and second place with times of 16:15 and 16:29, respectively. Conor Egan, sophomore, locked in seventh with a time of 16:44 with Jacob Evans, junior, close behind placing 15 with a 17:11. Michael Sullivan, senior, scored the last points finishing 25 with a 17:38. Building on the previous three year the team will be competing to the State meet on Nov. 2 at Lane Community College. “We are excited to go to State again this year hopefully we will do even better than last year, all the training is finally paying off.” Sullivan said.

Johanna Briscoe, freshman, will also run at the State meet as an individual having placed fourth overall in the Varsity Girls race after nearly breaking the 20 minute barrier Briscoe finished with an impressive 20:05.
