With some fall sports starting playoffs in the near future, now may be a good time to recap their progress and look into their future.
Web Editor-in-Chief Joseph Murphy joined the West Linn Weekly Wake Up to share his insight as a photographer and previous Sports Editor. Murphy is also captain of the mens cross country team.
The mens cross country team is steadily improving, ranked 19th in the Three Rivers League (TRL). Although the team has 18 others ahead of them, they are the highest ranked TRL team.
The football team won the state championship last year, and is continuing the trend this season. The football team is currently ranked first by the Oregon Schools Activity Association (OSAA).
Similarly, the womens soccer team has gone undefeated for seven straight games, which includes one tied game.
For a deeper dive into all the fall sports at the school, listen to this week’s edition of the West Linn Weekly Wakeup, hosted by Finn Howell, Coverage Editor, and Preston Weller, Arts and Entertainment Editor.
