Lions Varsity boys Soccer Team takes on Jesuit Crusaders with a berth in the state championship on the line
The West Linn Lions Varsity soccer team (17-1-2, 10-0 Three Rivers League) will take on the Jesuit Crusaders (18-1-1, 10-0 Metro League). The Lions take on the Crusaders tonight at 4 p.m. at Jesuit High School.
The Crusaders are coming off three straight dominant victories in the playoffs over Barlow, McMinnville, and Grant by a combined score of 16-0.
West Linn’s victories came over North Salem, Newberg and Century. Lions goalkeeper Zach Nelson, senior, has not allowed a goal since a September match against the Oregon City Pioneers; the Lions won 4-1.
West Linn is ranked third in the state behind only Jesuit and Central Catholic.
