West Linn Softball falls to Westview 3-0
After a successful season for West Linn’s Varsity Softball Team (16-12, 12-3 Three Rivers League) consisting of winning league in the TRL. The Lions end on a sour note, losing to Westview 3-0.
The game was a pitcher’s battle, and mistakes cost the Lions down the stretch.
“I think most teams played really sharply,” Caroline Freiling, junior, said. “Westview’s pitcher pitched a different game and something we hadn’t seen before.” Westview took advantage of its opportunities, capitalizing on West Linn’s mistakes.
“Their hitters just took advantage of a couple bad pitches,” Freiling said.
