“The Love for Three Oranges” shows at the WLHS auditorium Feb. 20-22
Because of recent frigid temperatures and a considerable expanse of snow, the opening night for West Linn High School’s production of “the Love for Three Oranges” has been postponed until tonight at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased either directly at the box office or on the Theatre Arts page (a link is provided on the WLHS website). Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. All money will go toward production funds.
Steve Beckingham, drama teacher, said that they are ready to deal with obstacles that arise.
“Knock-on-wood, something happens on the set, I’ll make it work and we’ll make it work,” Beckingham said. “Really, there’s always a contingency plan, but anything can happen. It’s live theatre.”
Beckingham looks forward to opening night and the successive shows to follow.
“I’m looking forward to the casting crew having a meaningful experience,” Beckingham said. “The bottom line is this is entertainment, but in the light that this is basically student-run, I want them to have a meaningful experience.”
While the premiere is tonight, the next show is tomorrow (Feb. 15). Next week, there are also showings on Feb. 20-22. All shows begin at 7 p.m. and are located in the auditorium
