Court is in session for freshman mock trial
This Monday, Matt Kellogg, social studies teacher, hosts the first freshman mock trial meeting in his room at lunch. He reports that whether or not there will be some form of tryout will be contingent on how many students decide to show up.
Last year, the mock trial team placed first in state, seventh in the nation and ninth in the world. However, this opportunity is now being extended to freshmen as well, while last year’s team consisted of sophomores, juniors and seniors.
“Mock trial seems like an intriguing yet fun way to engage in real world experiences, learn more about our judicial system, and expand my knowledge,” Sophia Nielsen, freshman, said.
If you would like to join mock trial, the meeting will be held in B203 this Monday at lunch.
