A Day At the Beach

Art was an unplanned metaphor

Buried in sand and

Planted beneath the sea

Art was a forgotten ego

Under the crystals of the gravel

Lost within our deep affection

Art was a washed-up toy

Pulled by the moon

And swayed by the wind

Art was gray hair and dirty socks

Saltwater and headphones

Glass bottles and footprints
