Students react to the appointment of a new principal
It was announced this morning that Kevin Mills, Assistant Principal, will be the new principal beginning in the 2015-2016 school year. He will be replacing Lou Bailey, current principal. The news has reached some students so far. Reactions have been mixed.
“Well it’s not a big deal because I haven’t really gotten to know our principal yet because I’m a freshmen,” Julia Lamb, freshman, said.
“I haven’t gotten to know Mills for very long but every time I’ve seen him he has the good energy and the good vibe that Bailey has, so I think he will do well,” Parker Elliot, senior, said.
“I’ve always really liked Mills. I had him for a trig teacher before he became athletic director and vice principal. He has good leadership qualities, and is really good with students, he’s not extremely formal he’s kinda sassy.” said Cole Epperly, senior, said.
