Volleyball starts Playoffs with a 3-1 win against Wilson
The Three Rivers League champions began with a shaky start against the Wilson Trojans, but came from a 1-1 set tie to win 3-1. After taking the first set 25-16, Wilson came back to tie up the match, allowing only 13 points from West Linn. Then momentum swung back in the Trojan’s favor. The Lions responded with a resounding 25-9 thrashing in the third set to take a 2-1 lead. Down 22-21 in the fourth set, West Linn rallied for four straight points, to put away the Trojans and finish with a thrilling 3-1 victory.
The Lions next game is against former rival Clackamas (20-4) Saturday at Clackamas at 6:30 p.m.
