West Linn Varsity Tennis Team beats Lake Oswego 7-1
The West Linn Varsity Boys Tennis Team beat Lake Oswego 7-1 on April 27. This means out of the eight matches, the Lions won seven of those. Matt Perkins, sophomore, won 6-0, 6-0 in his singles match.
“The score (7-1) doesn’t show it, but we had to fight hard for each point and we played the important points really well,” Perkins said. He placed second in the Medford Tournament last weekend.
West Linn is scheduled to play Sherwood High School April 28 at Laurel Ridge Middle School and Newberg High School April 30 at West Linn High School. Both matches are at 4 p.m. and are the last regular season matches before districts.
