Despite having the bases loaded, the team was unable to score any runs. “It’s just the beginning of the season. We’re just going to be playing out best by June, [and] that’s where champions are,” Rowe said.

It was fun to play with my sister.”

Getting to know more about the mens soccer defenders

Three Rivers League (TRL) games have begun. On October 2, the mens varsity soccer team opened their TRL schedule with a 6-1 win over the Oregon City Pioneers. 

This win helped extend their unbeaten streak to four. However, last night on October 4, the mens soccer team lost to Lakeridge 0-2.

Lakeridge was ranked first in the state, while the mens soccer team is now ranked 12th according to OSAA.

The mens soccer team will face the Tigard Tigers on October 10. Their last home game, on October 17, will be their senior night.

To get ready for the Three Rivers League (TRL) division games to end the season, wlhsNOW staff hosted a womens soccer media day, which included portraits in the photo studio and individual interviews with the players, not to mention home opener photos. All together. To finish off the concert, all choirs joined on stage to perform “Water Fountain,” a song inspired by the California drought in 2013. Several students were seated on the edge of the stage clapping and playing percussion instruments to add to the sound. The song involved shouting, singing, and clapping.

Kaelyn Jones, Multimedia Editor
Kaelyn Jones, junior, has been involved with wlhsNOW since her freshman year. As the first multimedia editor, she hopes to push podcasting and broadcast journalism to become an integral part of our publication, and specifically enjoys videography. Outside of journalism, Jones is a co-president of the CTE Environmental Science club, and is passionate about birdwatching, hiking, bouldering, and working with kids in the outdoors.

Molly Lundstrom, Social Media Editor
Outside of school, Molly Lundstrom, junior social media editor, spends most of her time walking or reading. She loves horror movies, making jewelry, cooking, and makeup.  She frequently participates in yoga classes, weight lifting, hiking, and any way she can get in movement.
Joseph Murphy
Joseph Murphy, Web Editor-in-Chief
In addition to being the Web Editor-in-Chief, Joseph Murphy, senior, also enjoys running with the cross country team. Journalism has proved to be Murphy’s main interest due to the fun he has writing about sports and photographing sports games. In the future, Murphy hopes to be a photojournalist for a professional sports team.
