“I’ve always loved to read and write as a kid. It was my favorite pastime,” Madelyn Tabor, junior, said. In elementary school, Tabor loved to read and write fiction stories.

“The stories that I wrote never made much sense because they were the complete nonsense that poured out of my head and onto the Microsoft Word document,” Tabor said. She doesn’t read and write as often as she did in elementary and middle school.

This year is Tabor’s first experience writing journalistically.

“I had friends last year who took journalism and had fun with the class, so I thought I would give it a try,” Tabor said.

Tabor is mostly excited to produce articles and photo stories for WLHSnow. “My parents have always been fond of photography, and I think that I caught that bug for photography,” Tabor said.

Tabor has been described by peers and family as a hard worker. “I’ve been told that I am a hard working person, and that I take my school work seriously,  but I am a fun, relaxed person to be around,” Tabor said.

Tabor is also excited to be a part of the staff of WLHSnow. “I think it is very cool how the students decide what gets put out for the people to see,” Tabor said, “so I think that it’s a great reflection of who the students are.”
