West Linn High School closed campus rumor determined false
RUMOR: West Linn High School has become a closed campus.
Many students noticed, to their surprise, that a section of their student handbooks deemed WLHS a “closed campus.” The rumor spread from here.
“We are still an open campus,” Lou Bailey, principal, said. “I’ve been hearing from co-workers that we have a closed campus, but this is just a rumor.”
The document which people have been reading was a West Linn-Wilsonville School District document. According to Bailey, it is a blanket document, meaning that it applies to all schools kindergarten through upper grades. The document has “closed campus” written on it because every school below the high school is a closed campus.
