Rising voices: images of the youth-led Portland Climate Strike
The density of the strike took up both lanes and the sidewalks of the Burnside Bridge as the group continued toward Pioneer Place. There are two banners held at the front of the group. One reads "Shut down Zenith oil" calling out the company Zenith, a company that carries toxic and flammable materials along unmaintained railroads. The other sign says "Tina Kotek, act now," urging Gov. Tina Kotek to keep her promises of staying on top of climate change in the state of Oregon.
