Now Multimedia Coverage Editor and Multimedia Committee Co-Chair, Garrett Arendt, junior, is continuing into his third year of journalism. Arendt enjoys playing video games and doing anything soccer related. In journalism, Arendt loves writing about student life and sports, as well as making videos. He hopes to achieve the goals he set for himself by the end of his time at West Linn.

Emerson Parker, senior, is a teacher aide for the choir and helped them prepare. “We've done a lot of group bonding activities. That's really important when you're singing in such big groups,” Parker said. “We do a lot of extra rehearsals, like during lunch, a lot of sectionals, which is just when all the altos are gonna get together and sing their one part, and all the sopranos are gonna get together and so on and so forth.”

Annie Kubitschek, choir teacher, directs the symphonic choir while Shannon Wianko, junior, plays percussion for the song “Muie Rendera.” On Oct. 21, all five of West Linn’s choir classes performed their first concert in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). One of the choirs was Symphonic Choir which was the last group to perform. Brody Olson, junior, sings Bass 2 in both Symphonic Choir and Fresh Pitch. “A lot of practice, tracks and sectionals [went into preparing],” Olson said. “There's a lot of discipline. Just constantly repeating, memorizing, [and] learning.”
