Laurel Massaro, 16, is a senior at West Linn High School and the photo editor for the Amplifier. She was born in Austin, TX, and in 2000 she moved to Oregon, where she switched off living between Gresham and West Linn. She likes being on the Amplifier and her favorite class is Journalism, which she enjoys due to the relaxed atmosphere. She has one sister named Claire, a freshman. Laurel enjoys reading (historical fiction in particular); she also likes creative writing, taking photos, exploring forests, and listening to music. Her favorite types of music are indie rock and classic rock, and include artists such as The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and The Shins. Laurel would like to pursue a potential career in cosmetics when she has completed school.
