Calling all poets, artists, musicians, photographers and storytellers; West Linn High School’s literary magazine, Kaleidoscope, is now accepting submissions for the 2011-2012 edition.
This year’s edition is special in that it includes work from this year’s and last year’s students. Students attending WLHS this year, students who graduated last year and current WLHS teachers are welcome to submit any original work to the Kaleidoscope email address, including poems, short stories, essays, photos, art and more. Add your work to the WLHS annual collection of art and writing, and— new this year, a Kaleidoscope CD— for those who are musically inclined may be produced if there are a sufficient number of submissions. See your works published in the Kaleidoscope magazine.
To learn more about the club, view the submission guidelines visit the website, email Kaleidoscope at [email protected], talk to the faculty adviser, John Fitzgerald in room E201, or speak with Madison Fiedler, student editor.

Throughout the game, the Lions knew that it wasn’t just about their victory today. “I think [playing for cancer] makes it bigger than just a game,” McGraw said. “Knowing that you have a bigger impact in this world than just who you are as one person.”](https://wlhsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/I70A1454-1-1200x800.jpg)

The students brought a variety of paints and mixed their own custom colors. “Instead of brushstrokes, we’re doing more dabbing, because it gives [a] better impression of tree foliage, rather than looking like actual brush strokes, because if we’re painting trees, we need it to look like trees,” Crawford said.](https://wlhsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_2397-1200x900.jpg)
