My Chemical Romance has been a staple in the emotional music scene since 2002. Bands like Paramore, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and countless others have been defined by fans as “emo” (also earning other terms like pop-punk or rock) for a long time. These bands have been loved for years, but eventually many of them took a more pop route, for example, Panic! At the Disco or Paramore, eventually growing into more radio-friendly and widely enjoyed music in the 2010s. You’ve probably heard “High Hopes” by Panic! At The Disco or “Ain’t It Fun” by Paramore on the radio, which are significantly different from songs like “Build God, Then We’ll Talk” or “Misery Business”. These songs appeal to a more limited audience, and the production is often not up to par with radio standards.
These bands stay successful over time because of the iconic members making the music happen, even in genre changes. “As long as they have the same members and stuff, and they [continue] making music, I’d still listen to it.” Caden Willcox, senior, said.
Recently, after COVID, alternative fans explored the idea of touring old music, similar to Taylor Swift and her Eras Tour. In 2024, Pierce the Veil toured with Blink 182 and played songs from their 2023 album “The Jaws Of Life”, as well as songs from their older albums and a cover of “Karma Police” by Radiohead. Since then, Pierce the Veil and My Chemical Romance have been doing tours considerably close together.
Pierce the Veil started to tease their tour in December 2024, and the hype around the tour almost doubled when taken into consideration the openers, Sleeping With Sirens and Daisy Grenade. Sleeping With Sirens as an opener introduced the opportunity to perform “King For A Day”, a defining song for the genre from 2012. The lead singer of Sleeping With Sirens, Kellin Quinn, is featured on the song. In September 2025, My Chemical Romance followed suit, announcing their tour in which they’d be performing songs from “Welcome To The Black Parade” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album, as well as songs from “Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge” and other iconic albums.
They introduced openers like Evanescence, 100 gecs, Alice Cooper, and Violent Femmes. Pierce The Veil started in North America and is headed to Europe, South America, and Australia next, whereas My Chemical Romance will have dates in South America, Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe starting in January 2026 and wrapping up in October. The tours were received very well by fans most focused on the opportunity to hear songs live that they thought would never be performed again.
“Well, I think they definitely should play their older songs, especially since they haven’t toured in such a long time. I think it’s important for them to play old songs. Of course, people want new music, but I don’t think it’s necessary.” Nora Bowyer, junior, said.
Both bands performed exclusive songs, like Pierce The Veil performing “She Makes Dirty Words Sound Pretty” and My Chemical Romance showcasing extended versions of songs as well as never before heard content. Overall fans love these bands, and hearing the music they know and love is bound to be a success.

Throughout the game, the Lions knew that it wasn’t just about their victory today. “I think [playing for cancer] makes it bigger than just a game,” McGraw said. “Knowing that you have a bigger impact in this world than just who you are as one person.”](https://wlhsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/I70A1454-1-1200x800.jpg)

The students brought a variety of paints and mixed their own custom colors. “Instead of brushstrokes, we’re doing more dabbing, because it gives [a] better impression of tree foliage, rather than looking like actual brush strokes, because if we’re painting trees, we need it to look like trees,” Crawford said.](https://wlhsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_2397-1200x900.jpg)
