Students earn bragging rights, college credits at CCC Skills Competition
Students hailing from all over Clackamas County went to Clackamas Community College on Thursday, Feb. 23 to compete in their yearly Skills Competition. Twenty-two students from WLHS competed, and five students won or placed in their event. Students who placed first in their event earned 12 free, transferable college credits, while students who placed second earned nine credits and students who placed third received six.
Winners from WLHS:
- Elise Brown, junior, 2nd place in News Junkie Jeopardy
- Katherine Farnbach, senior, 1st place in Music
- Caroline Attanasio, senior, 1st place in Spelling Bee
- Hunter Bosson, sophomore, 3rd place in French 3
- Jackson Carter, senior, 3rd place in Math Individual Competition, level 6
