Four more stores moving out of the Central Village

Four+more+stores+moving+out+of+the+Central+Village

Central Village shopping center has lost four businesses in the past month: Happenstance, Coldstone Creamery, Miss Meers Shoe Store and Sofa Table Chair.

While all of these businesses have closed their locations in the Central Village, they all still have locations elsewhere. Happenstance can be found in Lake Oswego,  Sofa Table Chair at 1916 NE Broadway in Portland, Miss Meers Shoe Store the closest at Clackamas Town Center and Coldstone numerous locations, including the closest at 7656 SW Nyberg St. in Tualatin.

“I believe that a few of the businesses five year leases were up, and they had other storefronts,” Pam Pesetti, owner of Ego Accessories, said. “Some shops might not have been a good fit for West Linn.”

This is not the first time Central Village has faced multiple businesses moving or closing. In the last year, Via Lago, Blue Sage Café and Typhoon have closed their locations there. “I just concentrate on my customer’s needs and feedback and portray a positive attitude,” Pesetti said. “I’m also carrying more local products to get even more involved with the community.”
