Who will survive?

UPDATE: After the snow blizzard that cancelled school on Feb. 7 and 10, the Survivor competition has been moved to next week, Feb. 17-21, with the contestants arriving at school the night of the 17th.

Outwit, outlast and outplay will be the motto for 12 West Linn High School seniors who were chosen, through a series of interviews and tryouts, to represent the senior class in the latest installment of Survivor.

“West Linn is known for Survivor throughout the state, so I couldn’t let this opportunity to pass me by without giving it a shot,” Anna Weeks, senior, said.

Six boys and six girls were chosen by the Associated Student Body members and administrators: Blake Hepburn, Kenney Whitbey, Danny O’Brien, Nathanial Brown-Lin, Ian Anderson and Ryan Lonsway and Ciara Wiard, Mariah Gatti, Kaelee Craddock, Weeks, Renee Layoun, and Salome Niyonsavye. The challenges have been kept under tight wraps by Butch Self, ASB advisor, to avoid giving any competitor an unfair advantage.

One competitor is already thinking about what she will do should she

pull out the victory.

“ I will be doing an interview like Richard Sherman,” Craddock said.

Other competitors like Anderson have a ‘Round Table Pizza party’ on their mind, while another contestant would just like to go back to basic human essentials.

“ I would treat myself to nice feast at biscuits and take a long shower in my own shower,” Wiard said. “Also pull an all nighter with my brand new laptop.”

West Linn’s Survivor will begin this Sunday, Feb. 8, with a victor being crowned on Friday, Feb. 14.
