National Service Day brings out competition with an Amazing Race Challenge (36 Photos)
As apart of the West Linn High School Amazing Race, and in conjunction with National Service Day, a fun run was held for multiple charities as the teams competed for who could run the most laps with the help of family and friends. Over $1,000 was raised for The Oregon Humane Society, The Cooper Hill Foundation, VH1 Save the Music Foundation and the West Linn Food Pantry. Even though this was a competition for the four Amazing Race teams, all of the charities came out as winners.
“This was a much higher turnout than we expected, so I’m really glad we were able to raise money for these great charities” ASB Officer, Kylie Fretwell, sophomore, said.
