In a battle of top 10 ranked teams (West Linn ,2, and Grant, 7), the West Linn Lions (0-1, 0-0 Three Rivers League) traveled to Grant High School to battle the Generals (1-0, 0-0 6A special district 1) and fell 76-67.
The Generals took an early lead of 11-2 and held at least a seven point lead for the rest of the contest. Theo Friedman, senior guard, led the Generals in scoring with 17 points and Bryce Canda, senior guard, contributed 15 points.
For the Lions Anthony Mathis, sophomore guard, poured in a game high 25 points and Ryan Shearmire, junior post, also contributed 16 points.
The Lions next game will be Wednesday Dec. 5 at Lincoln High School against the Lincoln Cardinals (0-1, 0-0 6A special district 1) at 7:30 p.m.
