Trailing 8-7 against Jesuit (17-3) with just over one minute to play in Wednesday’s first OHSLA state West Linn (20-1) scored two goals fifteen seconds within each other to steal the lead from the Jesuit Crusaders. The Lions lead for only fifty seconds the entire contest, and two goals from Ryan Klose, Sophomore, late in the game sealed the deal.
The Lions are now headed for the OHSLA State Championship for the second year in a row, against their bitter rivals Lakeridge (18-5). The Lions have defeated Lakeridge by one goal in the two in-league regular season games, and hope to make it a third victory.
The Lions next game is Saturday night (6/7/14) at 7 p.m. against defending state champions Lakeridge
