Morgan Finklea, sophomore, verbally commits to University of Oregon to play lacrosse
Only a sophomore, Morgan Finklea has a lacrosse state championship under her belt and is optimistic about her future with the lacrosse program at University of Oregon. She has verbally committed to U of O and will attend school there following her graduation from West Linn High School in 2017.
“Lacrosse is the love of my life and honestly I would be a different person without it,” Finklea said.
Finklea is not the first West Linn High School student to commit to the University of Oregon lacrosse program. Mariah Gatti, Class of 2014, is currently playing on the U of O team.
Playing many positions in high school, Finklea will mostly play defense at University of Oregon.
“I feel so lucky to have everyone who has supported me through all of this and I can not wait to be a duck!” Finklea said.
“We have such an incredible team at West Linn, not only on the field but also just the people in general are so wonderful to be around and some of my best friends,” Finklea said.
