West Linn starts off strong, defeats Jesuit 84-43 in OSAA State Quarterfinals
In the 6A OSAA State Basketball Quarterfinals West Linn (24-3, 14-0 Three Rivers League) cruised to a victory against 8th seeded Jesuit (18-9, 9-5 Metro League) 84-43.
The Lions came out strong early, as point guard Payton Pritchard, senior, hit four straight three pointers, contributing to West Linn’s 28-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter was no different, as the Lions kept building momentum to hold a 37-18 lead at halftime.
Jesuit was unable to keep up with the Lions in the second half. West Linn finished off the Crusaders with a 84-43 win.
The Lions now advance to their fifth straight OSAA 6A Semifinal, where they will take on 13th seeded Jefferson (19-8, 12-4 Portland Interscholastic League), Friday 6:30 p.m. at the University of Portland’s Chiles Center. Tickets cost $5 for students and $10 for adults.
